Utah Valley Regional Medical Center
I spent four weeks at Utah Valley working with their clinical dietitians. During this rotation, I was able to work on each unit, including the outpatient and diabetes clinic. My favorite rotation was the NICU; in this unit I learned about important lab values for premature infants and TPN and TF. During this time, an infant was diagnosis with gastroschisis, this was an interesting case for me to be able to study and follow. By the end of four weeks, I was completing new and follow-up assessments on my own and was expected to provide the appropriate education for each patient.
